What's Up!

US audio magazine is looking for participants to test, evaluate and report on a number of build-it-yourself speaker systems. Anyone interested is asked to contact John Fourdraine at (416) 755-8425.

Committee member, Doug McClement of LiveWire and his remote truck hit the ground running in 1997. Some of the gigs so far this year include: a live TV special featuring the Australian band Slivershair, a MuchMusic special featuring the Canadian band Moist, the Variety Club Telethon for Global (his 12th consecutive year!), the 1997 Gemini Awards for CBC (Doug's third year in a row), a trip to Atlanta to record Nortel's annual meeting (complete with live bands and dancers), a live album for alt rock sensation Live, and finally off to Corner Brook, Newfoundland for Much Music's SnowJob '97...and it's only April!
