MEASUREMENT IN AUDIO AND ACOUSTICS-"From Ear to There" The Audio Engineering Society Toronto Section is pleased to present a full day seminar on measurement. The theme of the day will be an overview of the types of measurement that are used to quantify, verify or improve sound quality and performance throughout the audio chain, from the point at which the sound is produced to the point where the sound is reproduced and reaches the listener's ears. The day will begin with a primer on the basic concepts and terminology in audio and acoustic measurements. The broad topic of measurement will divided into presentations on measurements of: Subjective Response, Microphone Performance, Analog and Digital Components, Audio Storage Media, Room Acoustics, Acoustical Properties of Materials and Loudspeaker Performance, among others. The presentations will include both lectures and demonstrations. Lunch and refreshments will be included in the price of admission.
